Mitsui E&P Australia (MEPAU) joined the 75th Chapman Valley Agricultural Show, which celebrated its diamond anniversary this year. The event brought a vibrant day filled with community spirit and meaningful connections.
This year, the Chapman Valley Agricultural Show also included the popular Radrock climbing wall, sponsored by MEPAU and Beach Energy via a $4,000 Mid West Community Grant. This free attraction quickly became a highlight of the family-friendly entertainment area, adding an adventurous spark to the day.
MEPAU also hosted an interactive information booth at this year’s show, led by Senior Stakeholder Relations Advisor Freya Contos and Opportunity Evaluation Manager Richard Osbon. A key feature of the booth was a scale model of the Waitsia Gas Plant, which sparked engaging conversations with attendees from all over WA, including Chapman Valley, Geraldton, Dongara, Port Gregory, Rockingham, and Perth.
Conversations ranged from the gas processing journey, explaining how the Waitsia Gas Plant processes natural gas for market, to the future of the industry through innovative solutions such as carbon capture and storage (CCS). The discussions also highlighted how these projects support the broader region, including the agricultural industry, by providing low carbon Ammonia.
The face-to-face connections and meaningful conversations with the community at events like these are an important way for us to connect with our regional communities.
