STEM grants at MEPAU
High schools located within 200km of the Waitsia Project are eligible to apply for up to $1,000 to help fund STEM-related equipment, incursions, excursions and other initiatives.
Applications are open from January – April each year for eligible high schools.
There are more than 7,000 school-aged children in the Mid West spread across the region’s 49 public schools. Of those, over 2,000 secondary students are attending schools within 200km of the Waitsia Project in the Mid West.
Eligible Schools
High schools must be located within 200km of the Waitsia Project to be eligible. Eligible schools include:
- Carnamah DHS
- Champion Bay SHS
- Dongara DHS
- Geraldton SHS
- Holland Street School
- Jurien Bay DHS
- Morawa DHS
- Mullewa DHS
- Northampton DHS
- WA College of Agriculture (Morawa)
MEPAU will only fund projects/activities that directly supports STEM-related initiatives/activities/equipment for the applicant high school.
MEPAU strives to contribute to community development and benefit, in particular the key areas of Education, Skills Development & Training, especially science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) topics.
