Commited to supporting communities

MEPAU recognises the importance of its role in delivering mutual and sustainable social outcomes for those communities in which we work.

Social investment is an important part of sustainable development. MEPAU generates community and social benefit through supporting local initiatives, projects and activities.

MEPAU seeks opportunities to create positive impacts. We invest in community projects so that local people can benefit from social and economic development, and we continue to look for opportunities to create positive impacts, particularly those that:
  • Assist with skills development, training opportunities and education;
  • Provide training and/or employment opportunities;
  • Support regional development activities, including partnerships and sponsorships;
  • Contribute to community projects, town services and facilities; and
  • Support a regionally based workforce. community projects, town services and facilities.
These investments are sometimes voluntary and sometimes required by governments, or part of a contractual agreement.

Membership of Peak Industry Bodies

MEPAU participates in a variety of industry associations. Industry associations help set technical standards, share best practice, facilitate stakeholder engagement and give members a forum to discuss and learn more about a range of topics.
