Mitsui E&P Australia is the non-operator joint venture partner (40%) with Woodside Energy for the Greater Enfield area, comprising:
- The Vincent oilfield was discovered in 1998, with the first oil in August 2008.
- The Enfield oilfield was discovered in 1999, with the first oil in July 2006. The production ceased in 2018 with all decommissioning activities scheduled to be completed in 2026.
- The Greater Enfield Development oilfields (Norton, Cimatti, Norton over Laverda) reached FID in 2016, with the first oil in 2019.
About the project
The Greater Enfield and Vincent heavy sweet crude is processed through the Ngujima-Yin Floating Production Storage and Offloading vessel.
Currently, Greater Enfield and Vincent crude oils are marketed jointly with Woodside and Mitsui E&P Australia.
