The Coorow District Tennis Club delivered Junior Tennis Coaching and Cardio Tennis programs for the local community, creating new opportunities for local children and adults to stay active, build skills and connect through sport.

Supported by a $3,409 Waitsia Community Grant, funded by Mitsui E&P Australia (MEPAU) and Beach Energy. The program helped bring a professional Sun City Tennis Academy coach to Coorow, with three junior coaching groups for children aged 3 to12 and an adult Cardio Tennis program.

The initiative highlights the important role local sporting clubs play in regional communities, providing inclusive opportunities for people of all ages to participate, socialise and stay active close to home.

MEPAU is proud to support practical, community-led initiatives like this through the Waitsia Community Grants program, helping strengthen local clubs and create lasting benefits for communities in the Mid West.
