Mitsui E&P Australia (MEPAU) participated in the Mid West Major Projects Conference 2026 held in Perth, which focuses on project development, investment, and growth opportunities across the Mid West region.

This year, MEPAU’s Vice President of Business Management & Growth Joe Ariyaratnam delivered a presentation highlighting MEPAU’s role and ongoing contributions to the Mid West region. The event also featured a strong lineup of speakers, including Hon. Jackie Jarvis, Mid West Chamber of Commerce CEO Joanne Fabling, and Mid West Development Commission CEO Nils Hays.

Minister Jarvis emphasised the importance of the Mid West as a cornerstone of Australia’s energy transition, highlighting the region’s unique capability to lead nationally through its strong and enduring contributions from both renewable energy and gas. The Minister underscored that gas will continue to play a critical role in the transition, supporting reliable and secure energy supply as the energy system evolves.
