We were delighted to join the 2024 cohort of Central Regional TAFE (Geraldton) graduates and award recipients to celebrate their achievements at the 10 April ceremony at the Queen’s Theatre.
Together with Beach Energy, MEPAU sponsors the Major Award of ‘International Student of the Year’ to acknowledge a stand-out student who has truly excelled in their studies and embraced living in Australia. This year, the award was presented to Louise Hill who is studying a Certificate IV in Environmental Monitoring and Technology.
Louise has led by example throughout her studies and within the community, impressing the panel with her involvement in the local community, giving educational presentations at a local primary school during National Science Week, volunteering with the Northern Agricultural Catchments Council (NACC) to assist with boxthorn removal projects and rescuing seabirds as an active member of the Chapman River Friends Group.
Louise’s involvement with and contribution to the local community and environment are inspirational and exemplary.
We wish all the graduates the very best for their future endeavours.
