You're reading: Support for WA’s iconic Big Tractor continues

Mitsui E&P Australia’s support for the most iconic tractor in WA continues with the awarding of a $3,500 Mid West Community Grant to the Friends of the Big Tractor committee to install lighting at the Big Tractor site in the Shire of Carnamah.

Just last year the giant, 36-tonne Chamberlain 40K replica, “The Big Tractor”, had its grand debut at the North Midlands Agricultural Society’s ‘NMAS Country Carnival’ in Carnamah,

The Big Tractor project was the result of community and local business donations and contributions, including $20,000 from Mitsui E&P Australia and our joint venture partner Beach Energy.

It is anticipated the tractor will encourage an increase in visitors to Carnamah as a destination to stop and spend some time. With the new lighting in place, the tractor will be able to be enjoyed at any time of the day.
