Today, the Environmental Protection Authority (EPA) announced the beginning of the public review period of the additional information supplementing the Waitsia Gas Project Stage 2 referral that Mitsui E&P Australia lodged in September 2019. The review period is from 23 April to 7 May 2020.
Following initial assessment of the referral, the EPA set the level of assessment at ‘Referral Information’ with additional information required in the form of management plans.
The additional information is now available for a two-week public review period and is comprised of the following Environmental Management Plans:
- Water Management
- Flora and Vegetation
- Greenhouse Gas
- Flaring

As part of the assessment process, MEPAU is advertising the public review in the metropolitan and regional newspapers.
