Port Denison Skate Precinct upgrade complete

The Port Denison Skate Precinct has been transformed into a more welcoming and accessible space for recreation and community connection.

Led by the Dongara Denison Lions Club and supported by the Shire of Irwin, Dongara Men’s Shed and local business contributions, the project delivered a range of new facilities, including a permanent shade shelter, wheelchair accessible picnic seating and barbecue facilities, a water fountain, and paved access pathways. Together, these enhancements have created a more inclusive space where young people, families, and the wider community can gather, connect, and enjoy the outdoors.

Mitsui E&P Australia (MEPAU) and Beach Energy are pleased to have supported the upgrade with a $75,000 contribution through the Waitsia Joint Venture, helping bring the community’s vision for the precinct to life.

Representatives from the Dongara Denison Lions Club, the Shire of Irwin, MEPAU, Dongara Men’s Shed, and local community groups recently gathered to celebrate the project’s completion and recognise the collective effort behind the precinct upgrade.

This initiative reflects MEPAU’s ongoing commitment to supporting projects that strengthen the communities in which we operate and contribute to local wellbeing and resilience.
