Our Mid West Community Grant Program received a large number of applications in the latest round, and six community groups from the Shires of Irwin, Coorow and Carnamah have been successful:
- Eneabba Primary School – $4,000 in support of their new playground build.
- For A Better Chapman Valley – $2,940 to help fund the free community ‘2024/25 Music & Movie Nights’.
- Irwin Districts Historical Society – $2,853 to support the 2024 State History Conference being hosted by IDHS in September 2024.
- Marine Rescue Port Denison – $4,000 to support the purchase of a purpose-built jinker for hauling out and re-launching the rescue vessel for maintenance and servicing.
- Morawa Community Resource Centre – $4,000 for purchasing ten gazebos and sides to be loaned to the community in support of outdoor community events.
- Shire of Coorow – $4,000 toward dog agility equipment for the dog exercise area at Rotary Park, Coorow.
The Mid West Community Grant Program provides up to $40,000 each year for not-for-profit community groups, clubs and organisations to implement projects that enhance and promote community wellbeing in the Mid West. The Program is funded by the Waitsia Gas Project’s joint venturers MEPAU and Beach Energy.
