First Mid West Aboriginal Business Forum to be held in June

The Mid West’s first Aboriginal Business Forum will be held in Geraldton next month, with the support of many local industry and business sponsors, including MEPAU.

The event is an information and engagement opportunity for companies and government agencies seeking collaboration and engagement with Aboriginal business owners and hosted by the Mid West Development Commission, Yamatji Southern Regional Corporation, WA State Government, the Department of Jobs, Tourism, Science and Innovation and Aboriginal Businesses from the region.

In addition to providing event sponsorship, MEPAU’s Senior Manager External, Government & Stakeholder Relations Lisa Azzarello has taken a role on the Aboriginal Business Forum’s event committee alongside the Mid West Chamber of Commerce and Industry, to provide support and guidance for the new forum.

Following the full day program, the Mid West Chamber of Commerce and Industry will be hosting a Business After Hours event to enable interested parties to network and continue their conversations from the day. The evening event will also include an Art Auction ‘Ocean to Outback’ for artworks by Aboriginal artists from the Mid West.
