MEPAU was pleased to provide a $2,000 Scholarship to university student Javad Farahbakhsh at the recent Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) Distinguished Lecture.

A total of six scholarships were awarded to current SPE student members living and studying in Western Australia. Javad is studying a Masters in Civil and Environmental Engineering and a PhD in Philosophy at Edith Cowan University.

SPE WA provides many opportunities for oil and gas professionals to enhance their technical and professional competence; collecting, disseminating and exchanging technical knowledge concerning the exploration, development and production of oil and gas resources, and related technologies for public benefit.
